An interactive guide for finding your path into healthcare.

The Virginia Health Careers Catalog started as a comprehensive, nearly 150-page print resource covering more than 80 healthcare careers, but all that useful information was difficult to explore, compare, and keep current. I led the design and development of a new digital experience for the Virginia Health Workforce Development Authority that turns the catalog into a more approachable career-discovery tool for students, job seekers, educators, and aspiring health professionals. I designed the experience around the questions people actually have when choosing a career: What could I do? What does it pay? How long will it take? Where can I study? And what other paths are open to me? The resulting platform brings career search and filtering, detailed career pages, side-by-side comparisons, a career quiz, school and prerequisite information, scholarships and financial aid, professional resources, and bilingual access into one connected experience. From information architecture and UX to the visual system, CMS, and front-end implementation, I led the end-to-end build with a focus on making a dense public resource feel clear, useful, and genuinely inviting—while giving VHWDA a platform their team can continue updating long after launch.
